Reflexology is massage of the feet where the therapist applies pressure using her thumbs and fingers.
The principle is that there are ten energy zones that run throughout the body and reflex areas in the feet that correspond to all the major organs, glands and parts of the body.
By 'working' points on the feet the energy channels are unblocked enabling the the subtle energy to flow freely and thus restoring harmony and balance within the body.
Reflexology is a deeply relaxing treatment. It can help to reduce stress, improve circulation, help to cleanse the body of toxins and impurities and revitalize energy.
Reflexologists will never diagnose or claim to be able to cure any condition but reflexology can be helpful for a number of common conditions. The results of reflexology generally speak for themselves.
For reflexology treatments I bring with me a La Fuma chair instead of a massage couch. The chair is very comfortable, it reclines backwards, elevating your feet to a height suitable for the treatment. I also bring a small stool for myself so as with a massage from me, there is no need for you to provide anything.
